Think outside the diamond
Creativity is the foundation ofactober.com. Likewise, recreating a great playoff moment doesn’t always have to
be a literal exercise.
Sure, there’s nothing wrong with
reliving -- or retelling -- one of the great moments in October history with
your friends at the local baseball diamond. Who could argue with that?
But in deference to the lifeblood of
actober.com, here are a few options to consider when re-enacting your favorite
Fall Classic moment ...
- Figurines: Imagine the possibilities, from bobblehead dolls to ballplayer replicas to G.I. Joe figures to Play-Doh replicas.
- Baseball cards: Steve Garvey’s 1984 Topps card could certainly help tell the story of his famous October blast.
- Video games: Recreate Kirby Puckett’s
World Series shot by using the Twins in “RBI Baseball.”
More ideas to follow tomorrow. Until
then ...
